Anthony and Stephanie met in the Winter of 2007. Although they met as friends, they always enjoyed each other's company and conversation. In March of 2008, Ant made the first move and kissed Steph, while chatting through the night until the sun came up.
The two fell for eachother instantly and immediately began dating, while spending nearly every day at eachother's side. The next year and a half flew by. Ant and Steph made a list of things they wanted to do with one another, which is nearly completed. The list included a trip to Yosemite : ), playing tennis and golf, hiking, taking photos at various locations, bicycling, paint balling, ice skating, a trip to Mammoth, snowboarding, movies at the drive-in etc, all of which have been completed. Their love for one another blossomed through these intimate times and little did they know that their love would amount to what it is today.
At the end of February 2009, Steph and Ant found out that they were going to have a baby! Of course this was scary news, but knowing that they were sharing this experience together was incredibly comforting. Soon friends and family heard the great news, which made the pregnancy that much more real.
Because of all the stress and anxiety of planning for a baby, Stephanie never expected a real proposal. Although marriage was already in the works, the romantic proposal was a huge surprise and incredibly sweet.
Stephanie's birthday was spent with Ant and immediate family, but the following day (April 3rd) was Steph and Ant’s day to celebrate. He prepared Steph for a late night by recommending a nap while he "worked", since her bed time is usually 8 o’clock. By 6 pm, Ant came home and Steph was not feeling well. However, Steph could tell that Ant wanted to go out. They drove out to La Bodeguita and had a delicious Cuban dinner, accompanied by a live Cuban band. While chatting after dinner, the band announced their last song. As soon as the band started playing "Idyllio," Ant got down on one knee and proposed right there at the table. Stephanie was beyond shocked and could not stop kissing Ant. Steph was so surprised that she didn’t even answer him, so Ant had to ask again. Of course, Steph said YES! We told the waitress, the band, the hostess, and everyone we came in contact with at Bodeguita. They gave us markers and asked us to write on their walls so we did…….. and of course it included a drawing of a helicopter and Wally! Best Birthday Ever!
